About Thomas

Pre-calculus was the first math course I understood. For some reason my brain had problems with geometry and algebra, but pre-calculus just made sense. While tricky, I know I can explain trig and other complex problems with ease to help you on your way.

I have always excelled at understanding mathematics. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA in university and will have my math minor after Spring 2021. I tutored a college student a few times last summer and have some experience helping my classmates understand material.

I have taken several mathematics courses throughout my academic career, up to and including Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB (5 on exam), AP Calculus BC (5 on exam), Calculus III, Discrete Mathematics, and Linear Algebra.

I have experience teaching middle and high school level mathematics. I have tutored high school level students and as a full-time teacher, I have taught one course in mathematics and served as an intervention specialist in mathematics. I have also taken college-level calculus and statistics.

I took all honors math courses in high school and obtained a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam. I also took Calculus III in college and obtained an A+ in the class.

About Summer

I'm an engineering student at UT Austin and earned an A in higher level math classes such as Multivariable Calculus. I also successfully completed the AP Calculus BC exam. SAT Math score: 790/800 I'm comfortable teaching math at levels below this, and would love to help anyone at improving.
