I give the student easy questions to do to build their confidence. I then give the student difficult ones to do. If they struggle I show them their errors and ask them to do the question again. This way the student does not repeat the same mistake.

Math is quite a challenging subject, but I realised that you get better at it when you practice it more. I had great tutors who helped me pass it very well in high school and I too want to share methods, tricks and tips on how to tackle the math problems.

I have been a maths tutor for over 5 years. My training as a Mechanical Engineer and my recent PGCE in Mathematics Education makes me an excellent teacher. At present, I am completing a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pretoria.

I obtained A+ throughout the year when I did Grade 12. I was part of Promaths, a programme ran by Investec where I got an award for obtaining A+ for Mathematics.
