I am hardworking and determined to achieve what I set my mind to, without diminishing my enjoyment of life. My friends & family mean the world to me and I love building relationships with new people.
I am good at identifying with people and understanding their problems, which makes it easy for me to figure out a solution. I am also able to make people feel comfortable around me, which makes them more likely to allow me to help them. I am a good listener and I am patient.

My Proudest
Achievements
• My proudest achievement is the outreach I did for an underprivileged school, weekly throughout high school, teaching the students how to swim. I also felt proud when I was elected leader of this outreach group. My most recent achievement is becoming a mentor at UCT for first year law students.
Subjects
- School Tutoring
English
English was my favourite subject in high school, and thus my passion for it led to great results in every aspect of the syllabus. I now study a B.Com Law which has furthered my abilities in the subject.
Afrikaans
I excelled in the comprehension, poetry and language aspects of Afrikaans in the high school syllabus, and aided my sister in achieving good results in the subject throughout high school.
Life Orientation
My high school Life Orientation teacher was passionate about the subject, and taught me in a way that made each life lesson easily understandable, which is what I would pass on as a tutor in the subject.
History
The high school History syllabus was very interesting to me, and I was taught the skill of writing essays and answering questions in the subject effectively, in a way that is required of students at school level.
Business Studies
The concepts taught in Business Studies have been expanded on in university for me, and I thus understand them well. They are concepts that came naturally to me, which is why I have chosen to study a B.Com.
