Macro-economics (ECO1011) was quite a challenging course, but it is something that I understood well (even though my mark might not reflect it). I took it through to my second year courses too.
I believe the lessons taught by the discipline of economics are all around us from the things we buy online, to the markets and their influence on national policy. As such economics is a fantastic vehicle for exploring the world of trade and business decision making.
I have experience in teaching and preparing lecture content for 1st, 2nd and 3rd-year economics. I also have experience in preparing tests, assignments and exams, as well as marking scripts.
I have taken economics for three years at university and macroeconomic topics play an important part in my degree, so I feel as though I have a good knowledge in macroeconomic theories.
I graduated with a BCom Honours (Economics) in 2019. Currently, I'm working as a financial analyst, and the type of skills I possess are: problem solving, good communication and analytical skills. I believe these skills are also needed to be a good tutor and will also enhance the tutoring experience
I am comfortable teaching all aspects of this course. But am most comfortable with the short run and medium run aspects.
The concepts in macroeconomics shape national economic policies around the world and can result in long-lasting outcomes for a country. My passion is to teach students theoretical economic principles and help them attain a deep understanding of the subject
