Afrikaans

I'm currently in my final year at university and Afrikaans is one of my main subjects. I have a passion for the subject and would enjoy teaching it.

English

I enjoy studying languages and English has always been a strong point for me. I've had English studies in my first year and in second year I had Applied English Language studies, so I know what this subject encompasses even beyond school level.

Geography

I studied this subject at school level and I'm still very interested in it. Since I enjoy it so much, I believe I would be able to teach it well, meaning a student might benefit from it.

Mathematics Literacy

I took this subject in school, since I had no inclination to use math after school. But I'm good with numbers and I did well in this subject, therefore I can help other learners who are struggling with this subject.

Afrikaans

I write at our student newspaper and since I'm a BA-student I know what writing entails. Therefore I think I would be able to teach this subject well.

English

I'm very particular about grammar and I enjoy studying this language. I learn new things about this subject very easily, thus it's easier for me to transfer my knowledge about it to other people.

Netball

In school our netball team was undefeated for 116 games. I was also chosen as part of the u/17 SA Schools team. I played for three years at Maties where I experienced netball at the highest level. I have coaching experience.

Writing Techniques

I enjoy studying languages and I have a natural understanding of it. I'm very particular about grammar and syntax. I do well in essays and I write for the student newspaper, so I'm knowledgeable in a variety of writing forms.
