English

I have always had a deep understanding of English as a subject. This allows me to teach the “formulas” or methods to those who struggle more with the lack of structure or openness of the subject. I took AP English in grade 12 which also allowed me to further my knowledge in the subject.

Afrikaans

I believe in finding a learning method that works for each individual. I will focus on building a strong foundation, which is vital for a language. I plan to pass on my knowledge on how to answer questions that yield the greatest results.

Life Sciences (Biology)

I believe in tutoring for individual needs. I have learnt to do this by tutoring my peers and younger students. I believe that I have learnt how to answer Life Science papers so that one yields the greatest possible outcome with the knowledge they have. I am passionate to pass on this skill.

History

I achieved in the top 1% in the country for History, which I believe displays my deep understanding of the subject on both content and skill. I believe in tutoring for the individual and wish to cater to the specific needs of my student. I wish to pass on the knowledge that I have acquired.

Life Orientation

I achieved in the top 1% in the country for Life Orientation, which I believe displays my deep understanding of both content and skill of the subject. I wish to pass on the knowledge I have acquired and cater to the specific needs of my student.

Hebrew

I strongly believe in building a strong foundation in a language subject and plan to cater to the individual needs of my student. I took Hebrew as a subject throughout my schooling career and wish to pass on the knowledge I acquired.

Mathematics

I never struggled with mathematics until around grade 10, however, I always needed a very detailed and slow explanation of concepts before I could fully grasp them. This enables me to understand how I should approach teaching mathematics as a pupil who needed extra or different explanations.

Social Science

I achieved the top mark in the subject during grade 7 and really enjoyed the subject. I feel that with the deep understanding and passion I had for the subject I will be able to teach with an individualised and enthusiastic approach.

Natural Science

Natural science is the foundational stages of what will become life science, which is subject I both enjoy to teach and learn. I have found methods of tutoring that work harmoniously with the subject. This not only makes it easier to understand but more enjoyable to learn.
