Bio
I would love to inspire a young child to make the most of their schooling experience. I love learning new skills and spending time outdoors training my labrador therapy dog.
I currently mentor and scribe for a Year 12 pupil and really enjoy the interaction. I was a keen student at school and I have a BSC honors degree and extensive business training experience. I am patient, organised, logical, and keen to inspire young children. I am busy studying an international qualification to teach English.

• Graduated High School in 1984
• Attended University of the Witwatersrand and completed a BSC between 1985-1988
• In 1989 I completed my BSC honors at the University of Natal
• Studied BCom through Unisa
My Proudest
Achievements
• One of my proudest achievements was instilling a strong work ethic in my children who were able to study their dream degrees. Secondly, achieving my BSC honors degree and holding many management positions during my working career. I have a Labrador who is a trained therapy dog.

Mathematics
My aim is to make maths fun by: relating it to real life, identifying the gaps in understanding and practicing to makes it perfect. I love watching my students acquire a love for the subject and achieve their best results..
Natural Science
I enjoy helping pupils build their problem solving skills, with plenty of healthy discussions and by relating concepts to real life applications. I aim for my students to feel confident and ready to approach the subject!
Life Sciences (Biology)
My absolute favourite subject as it teaches us about life and provides a scientific explanation of how systems and processes work . The trick though is to make it fun. I look forward to helping students understand Life Sciences better.
History
Studying History helps us understand our past which in turn allows up to understand our present. I find I am able to explain difficult concepts in a way people can understand, making their learning more enjoyable and successful.
Geography
I aim to make this subject fun and incorporate tools like google maps, travel through technology. Together we can explore from our desk and put the world in perspective.
Homework
I am a very organised and motivated individual with many years of business and academic experience. I enjoy motivating people and will look for ways to improve study and exam techniques.
