English

I have taught English to high school children and although it is not my main subject, it is my private passion. I really enjoyed teaching it and the children enjoyed the lessons thoroughly.

Geography

I have an MA in Geography focusing on Local Economic Development using tourism as a driver, which means I am more at home in Human Geography than Physical Geography.

Tourism

I have a thorough knowledge of both the theoretical and practical sides of Travel and Tourism. I have taught the subject to Grades 10 to 12.

History

My knowledge of History is very thorough due to my own studies and reading. I have taught Human Social Sciences (History/Geography) to Grades 8-9 for two years. I have an ability to make the subject come alive as I am very passionate about it.

Art

My all time favourite subjects to teach. I have four years experience teaching Fine Art to High School Students. I have a wide range of skills in various media and am able to teach the subject effectively with good results for the students.

Art History

I experience this as a completely different subject to Fine Art and find it really helps to fix the periods in the minds of the learners, by creating art projects around the theory and history of Art.

Arts & Culture

I have taught Arts and Culture for four years to Grades 8 and 9 in South African Schools. It is a great deal of fun to teach as all aspects of my personality are called into play in music, dance, art and theatre to the benefit of the learner.
