I am a master’s student who is very passionate about helping learners to achieve academic success. I describe myself as friendly, patient, enthusiastic, compassionate and respectful.
I am excellent at helping others because of my personality. Being a compassionate and kind person makes me feel good about helping others and fulfills my sense of purpose. For instance, In 2019, I was involved in a student organisation where we assisted grade 12 learners with career guidance and funding applications.
• 2017-2019: B SSc in Geography and Environmental Management.
• 2019: Community service, assisting grade 12 learners.
• 2020-2020: PGDip in Planning.
• 2021-2023: Master of Urban Studies in Urban Management.
• Given the opportunity to help grade 12 learners with tertiary applications is one of my proudest achievements. Others include joining the Golden Key International Honours Society for being part of the top 15% in my faculty and obtaining an Urban Lab TUB Masters Scholarship to complete my studies.
History
My love for history stems from its' interesting and exciting historical content. I am very confident in my ability to assist students in their understanding of this subject. I feel confident knowing that I can assist students reach their full potential.
Geography
Geography is my passion and I am very enthusiastic about it. Enrolling in Geography and Environmental modules at university strengthened my love for Geography. I m confident in sharing knowledge with learners, including those who struggle with learning and retaining information.
Life Sciences (Biology)
I have a great passion for Life sciences. As a compassionate and patient person, I love helping others. I have a deep understanding of the subject and all its' concepts.
English
English is my first additional language, and I have a deep appreciation for it. I enjoy instilling confidence in learners so they are able to reach their academic goals and potential.
Zulu
I obtained a distinction in high school for this subject. IsiZulu is not only my mother tongue, but it is one of the subjects I enjoy the most. I especially enjoy teaching Izinkondlo (poetry) and Izincwadi (literature).
Anthropology
Anthropology is an incredibly fun and exciting subject as it encompasses the origin, development and behaviour of humans. I am exceptionally good at simplifying the content of Anthropology, as I am an anthropologist at heart, and I obtained distinctions for this subject.
