Hello, I'm TJ! I'm a full-time medical student at the University of Pretoria. I firmly believe all educators are responsible for being patient, empathetic and knowledgeable.
Sometimes a student just needs a concept explained to them by someone besides their teacher or lecturer. I can relate deeply to the feeling of defeat and hopelessness that academic stress can bring. Resentfulness of certain subjects leads to poor academic performance. This is often because teaching is not individualized to that student's specific needs. Tutors have the opportunity to correct this.

Subjects
- School Tutoring
Life Sciences (Biology)
Biology was my absolute favourite subject in high school. My focus has always been to understand rather than to memorize - which I believe is an important aspect of getting good results in your assessments.
Afrikaans
I love literature and linguistics. Language is by far the easiest subject you can use to your advantage to boost your marks, I think it's just important to have the right approach to studying for these subjects.
Physical Science
Science is one of the most important subjects that students should perform well in. It opens many doors for prospective students after matric. It can seem very challenging, but with the right help, work ethic and patience - success is obtainable!
Information Technology
This subject is typically underestimated, but with the right help, it is not as challenging. I would love to help students foster a logical and methodological approach to achieve their goals for IT.
English
English is an underrated subject, in my opinion! By having the right mindset, and approach and working smarter, it's a great subject to count on to boost your average.

Chemistry
Chemistry is very daunting at first, especially in comparison to school chemistry. It just takes a good lecturer/tutor to help you wrap your head around it, but once you get it down, chemistry is a breeze.
Biology
Biochemistry and cell biology were my favourite subjects first year. It is easy if you know how to study for it! I found that lecturers often just skim over the work and assume students know all the terminology.
