Bio
I am down-to-earth, empathetic, as well as extremely reliable. I strive for consistency and I am extremely diligent.
My tutoring style is patient and clarity-focused. I explain concepts in multiple ways (and as many times as needed) until understanding is achieved. I know how stressful and high-pressure school can feel, and I aim to make learning more manageable while helping students build confidence and skills they can rely on.
Education
- 2021: Matriculated from High School (Marist Brothers Linmeyer)
- 2022-2024: BSc. Human Physiology, Genetics and Psychology (University of Pretoria)
- 2025: BSocSci Psychology Honours (SACAP)
My proudest achievements
- Completing my Honours in Psychology, engaging in community volunteering, and learning sign language are achievements I’m proud of. They’ve grown my communication skills, empathy, and commitment to supporting others.
Subjects
School Tutoring
Life Sciences (Biology)
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSC, CAPS, IEBLife Science is content-heavy, and I help students by breaking sections down and using diagrams to make concepts visual and understandable. Biology can seem intimidating at first, but it becomes rewarding once you realise how much of it connects to everyday life and never really goes to waste.
CAT
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSC, CAPS, IEBI’m patient, organised, and enthusiastic about CAT. I work through activities, examples, and past papers to make sure concepts are clear and practical. My goal is for students to feel prepared, confident, and ready to excel (pun intended!)

Janse
Kirsten connects well with Tyler. She keeps me updated on work covered and progress Tyler is making. I trust Tyler will reap the benefit of the effort both of them are making.

Alesandro is much more enthusiastic about the subject, and he is happy about his progress. I believe this have been achievable solely due to Kirsten help and ability to engage him during their lessons. We are confident his report will reflect the progress made. We are happy to have Kirsten teaching him till finals since we believe she will help him to succeed.
Valeria
Kirsten is always so well prepared and went to a lot of effort to make study notes for Alexandra. Thankyou
Judy
She successfully breaks topics down and turns 1 week of struggling to 1 day of understanding. She makes a heavy content subject like life sciences very manageable.
