I am not only an Epistemophile (one who has a love for knowledge) but also a Philanthropist (the desire to promote the welfare of others). I believe hard work and determination achieve success.
It is my belief that I am able to truly help the welfare of others by guiding them through their studies and sharing my knowledge. I have a background in Psychology which helps me to connect with individuals who might otherwise struggle with social interactions and spending time with a tutor.

English
I am a first-language English speaker. I achieved a 79% aggregate in my Matric exams and I have experience teaching second language speakers. I also have a love for poetry and Shakespeare – making me more equipped to aid students.
Arts & Culture
In high school, I was the top student in my year for Art History and practicals (89%). My Matric artwork was shown at an exhibition in the Tatham Art Gallery in Pietermaritzburg. My experience makes me uniquely equipped to tutor art students.
Music Theory
In high school, I was the top student in my year in Music History, practical theory, and composition (85%). I achieved high levels in my Grade 8 flute and Grade 5 Music Theory exams, corroborating my knowledge with experience.
Life Orientation
I received top marks in my high school for Life Orientation and matriculated with 86% in the subject. I have developed the subject further as a top-achieving student in Psychology at university level.
Mathematics
I received high marks in Math throughout high school, but it was a subject I had to work very hard to achieve. This required me to discover different ways of studying and learning for the best results. These are skills I will be able to use to assist any student of mine.
Afrikaans
Foundational Afrikaans - I am a second language Afrikaans speaker. I had to study Taal, Poesie, and general understanding in order to improve marks. This makes me particularly well equipped to teach struggling young English speakers to learn the fundamental building blocks of Afrikaans.
Life Sciences (Biology)
I have a background in Psychology, Archaeology, and Osteology which gives me unique insight into the human body. I will be able to help my students formulate scientific essays that are well structured and factually sound.
Natural Science
I will approach my lessons with patience and diligence, and provide support to the student in all aspects of the subject at hand from theory to practical application of subject.

I have a BA undergraduate degree in Anthropology and received Certificates of First Class throughout my studies. I have experience in multiple topics and my work as a postgraduate tutor has equipped me to assist with essay writing skills.

During my university career, I was awarded a certificate of outstanding performance in Psychology and passed the first year module with distinction. I am passionate about the subject and wish to share my in-depth knowledge with others.
English
I received the prize for top student in English Literature II. I have a passion for poetry and Shakespeare which increases my understanding. Additionally, my degree in Anthropology has equipped me with a toolkit of effective essay writing skills.
