I am a new PhD in English Literature. I'm able to help with literature analysis, reading comprehension, and writing composition.

About Ben

I have gotten no less than an A in any class that even remotely concerns writing, speaking or reading English. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Arizona. Each class for this degree involves writing a minimum 5,000 word argumentative essay.

I took English all four years of high school and took both AP Language and AP Literature during my junior and senior years. My first-year English class at UNC was journalism-based, and I have expertise in editing papers, brainstorming ideas/directions for assignments, and using proper language.

In high school, I received the student of the year award in English. I have also published a short poetry collection on Amazon. My writing skills, in English, are noteworthy as I have published an honors thesis in college for which I received the 2021 Rose Undergraduate Research Award.

I have a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language and I have tutored international students at the English Language Institute at the University of Florida. I have completed a TESL internship where I taught English to 5 visiting scholars /researchers at UF.

I tutored English for 4 years in university, and was able to improve the grades of the people that I tutored. Moreover, I have a minor in linguistics, and as such have taken classes on teaching English.

I am a Brooklyn College graduate, and I have recently earned my Bachelor's in English and maintained a 3.98 GPA. During my academic journey, I read several texts from several different time periods, such as Chaucer and Shakespeare, and wrote complicated essays on several different literary topics.
