I am an energetic, fourth year accounting student at the University of Cape Town. I have a high work ethic and enjoy challenging new material and overcoming academic problems with tailored solutions.
As a student, I found that dependant on the subject and its content, not all learning styles are equal. I developed different approaches in studying and test application for different subjects. I moved away from the parrot learning approach and taught myself ways to approach tests that ensured I was a proficient marks scorer. These are all lessons I can pass onto students to help their studies.
• (2018-Present) Bachelor of Business Science Specialising in Finance and Accounting at the University of Cape Town
• Achieving 5 distinctions and being awarded the Economics Prize, Completing a Half-Ironman, and making the SA Waterpolo Squad
Economics
I have a passion for Economics and look forward to having the opportunity to teach students in high school the tools I learnt when developing my love for the subject. This includes how to take new approaches to learning that are more in line with the younger generations dynamic learning style.
Mathematics
I have learnt the importance of maths in my last three years studying accounting. My ability to overcome challenges in the subject at school has proved paramount. This taught me how to navigate common errors and work under time pressure and I look forward to passing this knowledge onto my students.
