I have a strong passion for helping and getting to know other people. I am flexible and kind in my teaching approaches. I have seen the beauty of educational instruction in many instances!
I believe that being flexible is what makes a great teacher. Not everyone learns in the same way/same speed. A teacher needs to identify where the problems/misunderstandings exist and adjust lessons accordingly. I do not like skipping steps. I don't assume a student already understands certain concepts, therefore I am willing to start from the ground up.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from The University of Maine at Orono. I was also in the Honors College at UMaine which places a heavy emphasis on writing skills. Economics classes taken: Energy Law, Public Finance, Behavioral economics, Intermediate Micro & Macroeconomics and more.

These classes placed a heavy emphasis on critical thinking and discussions regarding weekly reading material.
