I am an aspiring academic who loves language and its ability to bring people together. Unity/connection among people is what I value most and I would like to promote learning using this approach.
My experience in tutoring undergrad students and being a writing consultant has taught me to be helpful, relatable, and approachable. I also understand the value of support systems from family, friends, teachers, tutors, and mentors. Without cheerleaders in one's corner, there is an absence of faith in one's abilities. Therefore, I want to form part of the student's support systems.

I completed my BA Hons in Linguistics with distinction and now I am studying toward an MA in Linguistics. Familiar with introductory phonetics and phonology, sociolinguistics, and psycholinguistics, as well as a basic understanding of semantics and historical linguistics.
English Literature
In being exposed to literature, prose and poetry, I have gained critical thinking skills that allow me to read, analyse and evaluate information given to me. This has also emboldened my ability to be critical of the world and make sense of it.
