I'm a second year medical student with a passion for helping others. I strive for excellence in everything I set out to accomplish.
I'm patient when it comes to helping others and will try multiple methods to help someone understand something. I don't give up easily and find joy when someone grasps a concept that I was able to explain to them. In high school my classmates never hesitated coming to me for help and during my afternoons spent in the library, younger students would also ask me for assistance with their work.
• Currently a medical student at the University of Pretoria. I've just completed my second year.
• -Being awarded a scholarship to America for a 10 month exchange program.
• -Achieving 8 distinctions in grade 12.
• -Being elected the Vice-Chairperson of my university's medical student committee.
Mathematics
Growing up, I initially struggled with math and never thought I would ever enjoy the subject or even reach a point where I would do well in it. My math tutor in high school greatly inspired me. Math became my favourite subject!
Life Sciences (Biology)
I'm currently a medical student at Tuks so it would be safe to say that I have adequate knowledge on the subject. I'm passionate about helping students understand subjects they find difficult because I know how frustrating it feels to not understand.
History
I took history as an extra subject in grade 11 and matric. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I feel it necessary to take history seriously so that people learn from the mistakes of the past.
Art History
Art history can be daunting, especially with an already full load at high school. As much as I found there to be excessive amounts of writing in the art theory paper, I found the content interesting and enjoyable. It's not as difficult as it seems.
