Bio
I'm passionate about teaching and helping others build real-world skills. I go beyond the curriculum to offer guidance that supports both academic and personal growth.
With five years of teaching horse riding to children, I’ve learned how to adapt to each child’s unique learning style. I focus on building real understanding and linking concepts across subjects and life so that learners can truly apply what they know—not just prepare for the next test.
Education
• Attended high school at Afrikaanse Hoër Meisieskool Pretoria.
• Studied BCom Actuarial Sciences at Stellenbosch University up to and including 2nd year level in all modules.
My Proudest
Achievements
• I was invited to join the Golden Key Honour Society after just one year of studying BCom Actuarial Science. I achieved an 88% average in Matric and take pride in seeing my horse riding clients thrive in high-level competitions.
Subjects
Mathematics
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSCI achieved top marks for Mathematics in high school and completed all core mathematics university modules up to second year when studying Actuarial Science at Stellenbosch University. I focus on building a deep understanding from first principles to help students truly grasp the subject.
French
Grade 1 - Grade 9 NSCI was a top achiever in French Second Additional Language in my matric year. I focus on clear pronunciation and strong grammar, and I encourage frequent conversation—because true language learning comes from using it often and confidently.
Accounting
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSCI earned high marks in school Accounting and 75% in first-year Financial Accounting at Stellenbosch. I've done real bookkeeping from a young age, guided by my mother, a registered auditor, which gave me both academic and practical insight.
Information Technology
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSCI studied Scratch and Delphi in high school; then Java, R, and Excel at Stellenbosch University. I take an analytical, structured approach to teaching and believe programming builds problem-solving skills useful in any career.
Afrikaans
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSCAs a home language speaker and published Afrikaans poet, I bring passion and depth to the subject. I love idioms and believe language captures culture. Strong language skills are essential—even in technical careers—for clear communication and success.
English
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSCI achieved high marks in English Home Language in high school and have always had a passion for literature. I have professional language editing experience. I believe that with the right preparation, clear examples, and enough practice, any student can succeed—regardless of natural language ability.
