I am a determined and industrious woman with ambitious goals, and I have a deep passion for technology. I firmly believe in the importance of uplifting and empowering others.
As a tutor, I excel in helping students by being patient, approachable, and attentive. I take the time to understand their needs, actively listen, and adapt my teaching approach accordingly. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment and foster their academic growth.
Education
• I studied BEng Electronic Engineering. In addition, since 2016, I have been actively tutoring mathematics and physical science to primary and high school students.
My Proudest
Achievements
• My proudest achievements include being accepted into the University of Pretoria to pursue Electronic Engineering. I successfully secured two bursaries, namely the Vodacom and Dell Young Leader Scholarships. Furthermore, I was honored to be selected as a member of the esteemed Golden Key Society.
Subjects
- School Tutoring
Physical Science
I did BSc in physical science for a year and then moved to electronic engineering at the University of Pretoria. Both these courses exposed me to the depth and understanding of physical science. I have been tutoring Physical science since 2016 for learners in grades 10 till 12.
Mathematics
As an electronic engineering student, mathematics is one of the most important subjects. Therefore, being in the engineering program has enabled me to master the most basic mathematical concepts. I have been tutoring learners in mathematics for the past 6 years and have received good feedback.
Natural Science
I was been teaching grade 7-9 learners of natural science at an online school in 2021, and have one experience tutoring a grade 9 learner. I want to help students who aren’t comfortable with NS to no longer be intimidated by it, but rather help them feel confident and ready to approach the subject!
Technology
I have been tutoring Grade 7-9 learners technology at an online school for a period of 4 months. I am patient and understanding in my approach to learning, and believe this is key to helping students overcome their challenges in the subject matter.
Computer Skills
I did CAT in high school, and completed a module related to CAT in my first year of study. I have been voluntarily training people with the basic of computers and Microsoft office which are the topics covered in CAT.
