Bio

I am a final-year PhD candidate in Physical Oceanography at UCT. I am simply a kind and happy person, passionate about helping build the student's confidence in maths and/or physics.

I have been tutoring and part-time lecturing for a few years. My experience, passion, and personality is what makes me great at helping others. However, what also makes me great at helping others is, simply, the space provided by the one-on-one contact: enabling a good, healthy student-tutor relationship to grow, and for the student's confidence and understanding in the subject(s) to be nurtured.

My proudest achievements

1. I tutor maths to high school children in the Vrygrond township, and watching them pass maths is one of my proudest moments.
2. Coming to an end of my PhD thesis is a proud achievement for me.
