I am a product of peer support. I formed a study group that lasted for 10 years. Achievements of this experiment has been published & shared to many education platforms. I learnt that the best way to help a learner is to allow him/her to make the mistakes. Learn the mistakes as a teacher and then have a conversation with the learner in order to recognize and correct the mistakes. I love mistakes
Education
- I hold a BSc(BiologicalSciences), a BSc Hon(Entomology). & an MSc (Entomology)degrees from UKZN. I also hold a PGCE (Mathematics & Life Sciences) from UNISA
My proudest achievements
- I broke down most of the rules of education, I facilitated a group discussion of about 300 first year students for three hours. I also taught Mathematics to a grade 8 learner for 8 hours without a break. All these made me feel unique.
