I have done Music Theory from Grade 4 up until a grade 12 level. I received a distinction for my final exams and have much experience in this area of tutoring. My instrument for my matric exams was voice but I am also proficient in piano.

I completed BA Music summa cum laude and BA Music Honours cum laude from UKZN. I have performed internationally for 4 years and have been teaching music theory from 2011 to present. I accumulated a minimum of 80% for music theory during my studies.

I've been playing Saxophone and Piano and doing Music Theory for many years. I got honours for jazz band. In my high school music class I was known for creating fun, interesting ways to learn the rules. I have passed the Grade 6 ABRSM theory exam.

Studying music in high school and playing the saxophone gave me the exposure and constant opportunity to practice music theory as well as being able to regularly apply it. As an active musician I understand the value of music theory.

I started with Music in Gr. 4 and went on to classical percussion in High School in which I achieved Gr.6 through Royal Schools and Music Theory Gr.5 through Unisa.

I am a saxophonist and I am currently studying Jazz Studies at the University of Cape Town - music has always been my passion. I am enthusiastic about helping other students to succeed and gain confidence in their musical ability.

I have always had a strong love for music. In particular, the theory of music and its mathematical nature has always sparked my interest. As such, I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music Media Composition and am a well experienced multi-instrumentalist. I am a people person who loves to teach!

Apart from taking music lessons from a young age, I also taught Piano and Vocal training to various age groups for 4 years (full-time) at a Private School of Arts in Bloemfontein.

I completed a bachelor of music degree at Stellenbosch Universtiy and tutored music theory at the University for 2 years. I received positive feedback and the results of my students were exemplary.
