My name is Armand and I am PhD holder in Physics from WITS. I have a very strong background in Physics and Mathematics and I am keen to share my knowledge and help others to grow.

I have a very strong background in Mathematics and Sciences and I am keen to share my knowledge and help others to grow. I am a very pleasant, outgoing person, and contribute significantly to both the academic and social life in the school of Physics. I am always polite and respectful of others but also a lively contributor to group discussions.

  • August 2016 - July 2017: MSc in Mathematical Sciences with distinction at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Ghana.

My proudest achievements

  • Obtained a PhD in Physics from the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS), the top University in Africa and among the top 250 universities in the world. Received several awards and bursaries. Publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Armand is really an answer to our prayers! He is extremely knowledgeable and not only able to say what to do, but WHY or WHY NOT. That has been one of our daughter's biggest frustrations in the past as she wants to understand WHY NOT to use e.g. a certain formula when it makes sense to her. Armand also went out of his way to accommodate our daughter while he was travelling to Japan with a big time difference. He also patiently allows enough time for her to try and figure out the problems herself. It is a slow but very deep and valuable process.
