Hi, my name is Angelo Yang. I am currently in my second year of a BSc at UCT (Computer Science and Business Computing). I enjoy playing esports competitively, coding programs, and occasionally rowing.
I enjoy explaining topics to my peers no matter how long it takes for them to understand, especially if it's a subject of interest to me. Not only do I get to help my classmates, but by thoroughly explaining topics. I believe that I can help students who are going through the toughest years of their lives, so I will be dedicated to growing their confidence in academics and improving their marks.
Education
- I am currently in my second year of a BSc at the University of Cape Town (Computer Science).
- I achieved A's for both Maths (85) and IT (84) in matric.
- I am confident in tutoring Maths and IT.
My proudest achievements
- For Matric PAT I coded a fully functioning game using Java and SQL, the game allowed for multiple users to keep track of their progress and inventory as well as an RPG turn-based action. I achieved A's in matric, for which I am proud! I can speak Chinese, Afrikaans, and English.

Mathematics
Grade 1 - Grade 12 IEBI did a tutor/mentor programme at St Johns college where we tutored other grades for 1 year. I'd like to think I improved my mentee's confidence regarding academics as well as his math marks-his marks increased by 15%. I'm also currently taking a math course at UCT, so I am up to date with my maths.
Computer Programming
Grade 1 - Grade 12 IEB, IBI am completing a BSc in Computer Science at UCT. I've also been tutored by a CS student so I have an idea of how to tutor this subject. I am confident in my abilities to teach Java and Python. I can help students develop effective strategies to work through problems and code efficiently.
Physical Science
Grade 1 - Grade 10 IEBI am a self-motivated person who thoroughly enjoys the process of acquiring knowledge and then imparting it to others. I have completed 2 Physics courses at UCT for a BSc degree.
Information Technology
Grade 1 - Grade 12 IEBI am completing a BSc in Computer Science at UCT. I have been tutoring multiple IT students during my studies so I am confident in my abilities to tutor all matric syllabuses. I can help students develop effective strategies to work through problems and guide them through matric finals.
