I have always had a natural aptitude and passion for English, specifically literary studies. In high school I also took FS English and received the Spoken English award, the English Subject Prize award, a gold certificate in the English Olympiad, and I ranked in the top 1% nationally for English.

I have always loved history and learning about the past and how it applies to the future. I received an Interest in Humanities Award, which was an acknowledgment of success across the humanities subjects. I also received acknowledgment for my history research project from matric.

Drama was my top subject in school. I received the Mclurg Trophy for theatre arts in recognition of my continuous contributions to practical elements in performance in 2024. I also ranked in the top 1% nationally for Dramatic Arts, and I attained the Drama Subject Prize in 2022,2023, and 2024.

In the beginning of highschool, biology and I had a rocky relationship. I started to apply myself in my studies so that by matric, I was able to rank in the top 1% nationally for biology IEB. I am studying psychology in university which allows me to continue with biology at an advanced level.

I have always had a proficiency with Afrikaans as most of my family is Afrikaans and I took Huistaal for two years in high school. I am naturally a language-brained individual, and because of this, my teaching methods are creative, in-depth, and catered to each student.

Maths has always been a tough subject for me and because of this, over the years I have spent a considerable amount of time breaking down concepts and truly understanding them. I have spent a lot of time working with my younger sister to improve her maths and doing extra study to improve my own.
