Hi, I'm Joseph and I love maths and teaching people about it. I'm taking a break from my maths degree at UCT, and during this time I'm trying to help people to learn while keeping up my maths skills.
I think I can help people through my ability to teach: I always learn things best, especially in abstract subjects like maths, when I try to explain them to myself or other people - so I've practiced teaching through the way I study. Debating throughout highschool also helped - it forced me to arrange complex ideas in my head and relay them to other people, which is the essence of teaching.

- Matriculated from Crawford 2022
- 1 Semester of a BSc in Maths and Statistics at UCT, before leaving to take a gap year.
My proudest achievements
- I was proud of my final results for Matric - 9 distinctions and 97% for maths. I worked hard that year and I was very happy it paid off.
- Winning the National Schools Debating Championship in 2019 was also a major achievement for me, and I was so proud of myself and my team.

Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSC, CAPS, IEBI graduated from Crawford La Lucia in 2023. I got a 97% average for my core maths finals. I also received 9 distinctions, including As in AP Maths, Physics, and IT. I have done half a year of maths at UCT, and am now taking a gap year.
