There are so many things I love about Mathematics! I have ample experience tutoring it, and I love seeing students find their strengths and excel. I help students by breaking down complex concepts to be understood easily.

About Mpu

I have been exposed to a lot of Calculus during my tertiary studies. Calculus is an area that needs patience and continuous practice, which I am confident in my ability to deliver.

About Brian

With my masters and currently my PhD, I had to make extensive use of calculus in my work in statistical estimation methods, modelling and machine learning. I have also been tutoring and teaching the topic (even now) from high school to postgraduate level since 2017.

Much of first-year Calculus is already introduced in Grade 11 and 12 AP Mathematics. I earned a distinction in MAT1512 - Calculus A, have a strong background in Differential Equations (NQF 6 – Distinction), and have successfully completed NQF 7 studies.

I am good at: Advanced calculus, differential calculus, numerical calculus, differential equations, Linear algebra, financial engineering, time series analysis, amongst other courses. Besides doing all these courses, I am currently assisting with Mat211 (advanced calculus and linear algebra).

As a tutor for Calculus A and B, I have deep expertise in higher-dimensional calculus and differential forms. With a 98% Calculus mark, I understand its critical role in advanced topics like differential equations and excel at making complex concepts clear and accessible to students.
