I’m the eternal student and believe that something is only truly learnt if it can be successfully practised and passed on to the next person. I aim to do this for my students.
I am a very empathetic and approaching person so can quickly grasp what someone else is struggling with. Once I understand this, I make the effort to cater a solution for them.

Achievements
• I practised the engineering profession for 4 years and then decided to do my Masters once I knew what stream I wanted to advance in.

• I published a short story called ‘The Faraway Things’ which was shortlisted for the 2020 Commonwealth Short Story Prize.

Mathematics
I have tutored Mathematics from primary school level to matric level to locals in my community (pre-pandemic) and I'm able to quickly grasp what areas students struggle with.
English
Other than academic writing, I'm also a published author under the Commonwealth Writers organization. I wrote the short story 'The Faraway Things' so I'm very proficient in the English language.
Technical Drawing
I studied Mechanical Engineering at Wits University so my experience goes beyond what I learnt in High School. This topic was covered in University first year as well and I achieved 71%.
Physical Science
My experience as an engineer has helped me to link the different concepts in Physical Science to practical, everyday things which I think will be helpful to students.
Sepedi
I am a native speaker of the language and understand the subtle nuances that come with sentence structure and how different meanings can be communicated. My teaching method is such that I first try to understand the learner's personal struggles so that I can know where to best help them.
