I promote application and understanding in learning, am highly goal orientated and have unwavering perseverance as is evident by my PhD (Eng) and MSc (Chem).
I am good at listening and always make sure I understand the problem before providing advice. I explain complicated problems in the simplest manner possible and always want the student to be able to apply knowledge instead of memorise it.

• Completing my thesis and being awarded my PhD in Materials Engineering.

Material Science
I have a PhD in Materials Engineering and have utilised extensive material characterization methods including microscopy, electrochemistry and mechanical testing.
Chemistry
I have a Masters in Electrochemistry and completed physical, organic and inorganic chemistry to an honours level. I have assisted with chemistry practicals, tutored 1st and 2nd year students and I am familiar with common problems that arise.
Research
I have performed research activities at the Masters and PhD level. I have multiple academic journal publications and have supervised research projects at postgraduate level.

I have mathematics up to 2nd year and have tutored numerous students up to matric level. I understand where there are general difficulties and aim to promote understanding over memorizing.
