I'm Joyce, a current college junior studying secondary mathematics education. I love math and see it in the world all around me, and I want to share this interest and knowledge!
I have helped students and peers at multiple levels overcome their math anxiety and develop a new connection with math. Multiple students that I've worked with have told me they used the hate the subject, but now it's one of their best ones! I try my best to have the most patience possible (there are no bad questions!) Math is about exploration, and I love seeing others learn to appreciate it.

My Proudest
Achievements
• My proudest achievement is continually bettering myself — in this case, as a student. I started with a low GPA due to extenuating circumstances and have since improved it.
• My second would be helping others around me succeed: by editing essays, helping with math problems, or lending support.

Math
Math is my expertise! I am studying to be a math educator and will be certified for grades 7-12. I have extensive experience working with students of all age levels, particularly 6th - 10th graders. I love math and want to share this understanding with all of my students!
Algebra
Math is my expertise! I am studying to be a math educator and will be certified for grades 7-12 — but algebra happens to be my favorite topic! I've successfully taught algebra to students in varying grade levels. Algebra is useful to everyone, and I hope to share that with students.
Geometry
Math is my expertise! I am studying to be a math educator and will be certified for grades 7-12. I have studied geometry at the university level and successfully used this knowledge to help multiple students with the subject. My least favorite topic became more enjoyable, so I want to share that!
SHSAT
I've tutored SHSAT material before, both math and English. I have taught a SHSAT English Prep course, as well as privately tutored students. The students I've helped got accepted into their first-choice schools! I was very proud of them and felt honored to have played a part.
PSAT
I personally received a score of 1480 on the PSAT — although I specialize in math, I am able to provide support in English as well!
SAT
Having personally gone through many hours of SAT tutoring, I would love to be on the other end! My expertise lies in math, but I am able to provide support in English as well.
