Bio

I am an Aeronautical Engineer who has been tutoring South African and international syllabi since 2015. I attained an A, A and A*(90%+) for Cambridge Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, respectively.

I excelled at the subjects that I offer. I had the highest mark for Cambridge Mathematics in Zimbabwe in 2014 and I was on the Wits University Dean's List (top 10%) for all my undergraduate years. I am patient and understanding. I go out of my way to ensure that students' issues are addressed by creating weekly worksheets and videos in which explain challenging concepts and attempt examples.

Mathematics

Grade 1 - Grade 12

Mathematics is my favourite subject, I was the highest in the 'A' Level Cambridge June exams in Zimbabwe. I understand the subject very well and I am good at explaining the concepts.

Physical Science

Grade 1 - Grade 12

I have always been good at understanding concepts in the science field, and this in-depth understanding helps me teach effectively. I was a tutor on my gap year (2015) and I taught Science, among other subjects, at high school level.

Chemistry

Grade 1 - Grade 12

I received a distinction in Chemistry as my final mark. I would love to help others do the same. I have covered it at a deeper level in university and have a good grasp of the fundamental parts of this subject.

Engineering Drawing

First Year

I did drawing as part of my Design and Technology course over the first 4 years of high school and I did it for an additional year in first year at Wits university and attained a 90% mark.

Physics

First Year

In addition to getting an excellent final mark for first-year Physics at Wits univeristy, I also tutored first-year Physics when I was in my second year. I received a tutor award in my residence because of this.

Mathematics

First Year

Mathematics is my favourite, so I have always understood the concepts very well. I have exercised this understanding by unofficially tutoring my classmates. I attained a final mark of 88% for first-year Mathematics. I have tutored extensively since.

Fluid Mechanics

First Year - Second Year

I know the material very well and will teach it well too. This can be an exceptionally challenging subject so I can assist in breaking it down and making it easier to understand.

Mechanics

First Year

Engineering Mechanics is my area of expertise, and I particularly enjoy teaching Mechanics 1 because it helps me explain the basics of Mechanics. I know the value of a strong foundation in this subject.

Mechanical Engineering

First Year - Second Year

In the second year, most of my classmates found this course challenging and I assisted them. In doing so, I found myself understanding the course content better and I sharpened my teaching skills which has helped me to become a better tutor.

Engineering

First Year - Third Year

I mastered the semi-monocoque section of the Aircraft Structures course at Wits university. It is 75% of the final exam and I managed to achieve 95% for that major section. I can help with both exam and project work in this regard.

Engineering Maths

First Year - Third Year

I attained an excellent mark for Statistics in 2018. In addition, I covered the same content for Cambridge exams in High School so I am more than familiar with the course content. I am prepared to teach the most challenging topics, like Probability.
