Design

Throughout my life I have been surrounded by creativity and design. In high school, I was one of the top 3 design students in my grade and went on to receive a 4 year degree in Industrial Design. I enjoy learning about design and sharing my knowledge and skills with others.

Design & Technology

In high school I was consistently one of the top 3 design students in my grade and went on to receive a 4 year degree in Industrial Design. My course included subjects on technology, model building and materials.

History

I have a deep love for History and achieved a distinction in grade 12. I am able to go through a learner's theory work and assist with source-based questions and essay writing skills.

Mathematics

I have experience in teaching grade 8 & 9 mathematics to various students. I am also able to tutor learners in lower grades.

Art History

I have a degree in Industrial Design and took design in high school. My studies at school and university both included subjects in History of Art and Design.

English

English is my home language. I achieved a distinction in grade 12 and have a 160 hour TEFL qualification.

Afrikaans

I have always been a high achiever in Afrikaans First Additional Language. I achieved 92% in grade 12 and was one of the top 3 from grade 10-12.

TEFL

I have completed a 160 hour TEFL qualification, which consisted of teaching English as a foreign language, as well as additional modules on teaching English to young learners. I also have a 40 hour TEFL certificate for teaching online.

English

I completed the British Council’s IELTS exam and achieved an overall score of 8.5 out of 9 (CEFR level C2: Proficient user). The IELTS is an international test that assesses listening, reading, speaking and writing skills.
