I am a friendly, professional individual currently in my third year of studies towards my Bachelor's degree in teaching. I am passionate about teaching, learning, and helping others to achieve.
From a young age, I learned to appreciate my strengths and talents, and have since used them to help others as much as possible. This has extended from teaching my grandparents to use their computer, through tutoring learners, to my job as a project manager. I was a prefect in junior- and high school, and I work exceptionally well with others. I am a responsible, confident and patient teacher.
School Tutoring
Mathematics
Grade 1 - Grade 10 NSCI have experience teaching grade 7, 8 and 9 mathematics in schools as well as having completed my mathematics modules and practicals through UNISA with distinctions. I also have experience as a mathematics tutor for learners up to matric level.
English
Grade 1 - Grade 10 NSCI am a fluent English speaker who is passionate about the language. I have completed my UNISA English courses and practicals and have taught English in school up to matric level during my practical teaching experience.
Physical Science
Grade 1 - Grade 10 NSCI thoroughly enjoy Physics and Chemistry and have some extra experience with both through modules taken in university. I have limited experience in tutoring this subject however, but am willing to assist learners with the knowledge that I have.
Accounting
Grade 1 - Grade 10 NSCI have accounting experience from subjects taken in university and I have tutored privately during my studies. I received a distinction in matric.
Geography
Grade 1 - Grade 10 NSCI have always enjoyed geography and have chosen it as one of my preferred subjects in my teaching degree. I also have experience with some geology modules from University and received distinctions for my geography modules through UNISA.
Mathematics Literacy
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSCI enjoy the practical and logical nature of Mathematics Literacy and feel that my experience as a mathematics student, tutor and teacher have provided me with the appropriate skills to be able to tutor the subject effectively.
Michelle is an absolutely amazing teacher and has made every lesson an absolute blast. She came to every lesson with the most amazing spirit and attitude and Im so glad I had the opportunity to have her as my tutor. She is overall incredible and I couldn’t have asked for a better tutor. Anyone that is lucky enough to have her as their tutor will not regret it one bit.
